Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for diverse construction projects. You will monitor progress, analyze variances, and report trends to guide decision making.

You will work with preconstruction teams to ensure timely information sharing, prioritize tasks, and secure necessary resources to meet tight deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience or equivalent specialized training.
• Excellent working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and MS Office.
• Ability to handle a large workload with multiple projects and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Ability to independently apply advanced analysis techniques and oversee construction processes.
• Knowledge of construction markets (institutional, retail, government, hospitality, healthcare).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate team members.
• Integrity and adherence to ethics and policies.
• Proficient with office equipment and strong written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction practices and crew data.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains CPM schedules for all assigned projects.
• Organizes and prioritizes incoming bid proposals to meet deadlines.
• Reviews schedule data including start/finish dates, budgets, and WBS.
• Evaluates work packages for feasible implementation and recommends improvements.
• Communicates schedule status and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with preconstruction team to share schedule information.
• Ensures resources are available to maintain schedules and notifies if shortages occur.
• Coordinates with clients and teams to keep plans current daily.
