Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain software schedules for construction projects within the organization. The role monitors baseline progress, explains variances, and prepares trend reports to guide project outlooks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Construction Management or equivalent and 5+ years of scheduling experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office. He/she will collaborate with PMs, superintendents, and estimators to meet deadlines and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• Five (5+) years of experience or equivalent specialized training and work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, handle a large workload, and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for assigned projects utilizing CPM scheduling techniques.
• Organize and prioritize incoming bid proposals to ensure deadlines are met.
• Review project schedule data including activity records, dates, costs, and WBS.
• Evaluate work packages for feasibility and recommend efficient methods.
• Interface with internal and external customers to communicate work status and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to ensure schedule information is communicated.
• Analyze project requirements and ensure resources are available to maintain schedules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain status updates on activities.
• Coordinate projects with all participants to ensure plans are achievable daily.
