Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM-based schedules for multiple commercial projects. You will monitor progress against baselines, explain variances, and prepare trend reports to support project outlooks.

You'll collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and estimators to ensure schedules are achievable, current, and resourced appropriately, using Primavera P6 and MS Office. This is a full-time on-site role in Boise, Idaho.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of experience managing scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for assigned projects using CPM techniques.
• Organize and prioritize incoming bid proposals to meet deadlines.
• Review project schedule data including activity records, start/finish dates, costs, WBS, and related data.
• Evaluate work packages for feasibility and propose efficient methods.
• Communicate work status and corrective actions to stakeholders to ensure conformance to schedules.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to clearly communicate schedule information to the work crew.
• Coordinate resources and notify team of constraints to maintain schedules.
• Coordinate projects with all participants to keep plans current daily.
