Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Project Risk and Commercial Manager to oversee large Life Sciences North America programs, often over $1B TIC. You’ll monitor health, identify risks, and advise leadership and clients, focusing on governance and practical risk responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, risk management, insurance, law, or a related field.
• Experience in risk and change identification oversight, commercial advisory, and financial analysis, with additional project risk management, contract management, project controls, construction, engineering, EPCM, or insurance/risk management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of project risk management principles, risk registers, mitigation planning, and cost and schedule risk concepts.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and communicating risk information clearly to project teams, clients, governance bodies, and executive leadership.
• Ability to define, analyze, and solve complex project problems, translating uncertainty into practical actions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to monitor program health, performance, and risks across workstreams.
• Lead or support risk and opportunity workshops with stakeholders and risk owners.
• Oversee risk registers, mitigation actions, escalation recommendations, and reporting.
• Evaluate cost and schedule risk using quantitative and qualitative methods, including Monte Carlo simulations.
• Perform financial and commercial risk analysis and due diligence as needed.
• Prepare risk dashboards and client-facing briefing materials for governance.
• Coordinate with commercial and legal teams on protections and risk transfer.
• Support forecasts, change evaluations, and compliance tracking as required.
• Promote consistent risk and commercial management practices across the portfolio.
