Job summary

Jacobs in the U.S. Northeast seeks an experienced Project Director for Life Sciences North America to lead EPCM projects, overseeing planning, engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning.

You’ll mentor PMs, manage multi-office teams, and drive cost control while maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll champion safety culture on design and field sites, manage budgets and schedules, and deliver projects that meet stakeholder goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline required.
• At least 15 years of experience managing EPCM projects related to industrial facilities, with 5+ years in Life Science industry recommended.
• Mentor for other PMs and Project Engineers.
• Strong safety culture in design and on project sites.
• Experience in multi-office projects (possibly international).
• General engineering knowledge for Life Science projects (infrastructure, process, utilities).
• Experience in design project cost management (forecasting, earned value).
• Experience in developing proposals and estimating design hours for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management of teams, staff recruitment and development.
• Oversee financial and technical performance on projects.
• Develop and deliver on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules.
• Build strong internal and client relationships.
• Guide teams to achieve stakeholder objectives and project success.
