Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a driven Construction Project Manager for our Life Science North America group based in Northeast Houston, TX.

You will oversee complex life science construction projects, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while coordinating with engineers, project managers, and contractors. The role requires 10+ years in life science construction, strong planning and leadership skills, and experience with MEP systems, budgeting, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience managing construction projects in life science, industrial, or commercial facilities
• Strong knowledge of construction activity sequencing and execution
• Experience with 3D modeling software and presence on active construction sites
• Experience managing project budgets
• Experience managing project schedules
• Knowledge of Quality Control/QA testing and reporting
• Familiarity with commissioning/qualification of MEP systems
• Experience with project controls and procurement strategies

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite activities including inspections and field administration tasks
• Conduct project meetings with contractor and stakeholders
• Maintain official project documentation files and logs
• Review submittals, shop drawings, material certifications, and turnover deliverables
• Ensure construction aligns with design specifications and drawings
• Manage or support project financials and change management processes
• Manage or support project scheduling and long-range forecasting
• Complete closeout with timely project records submission
• Foster cooperative partnerships among client, contractor, and all stakeholders
