Job summary

Michels Pacific Energy, Inc. in Tumwater, WA seeks a Project Manager to oversee major projects from proposal through close-out, mentoring staff, and driving safety and client satisfaction in a dynamic environment.

You will coordinate with clients and subcontractors, plan work, conduct meetings, and manage contracts and variations to ensure profitability and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with transmission and distribution projects.
• Experience with EPC projects.
• PMP, PE certifications is desired.
• Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all health, safety policies and regulations.
• Directly supervise Associate Project Managers and Project Managers; supervise and coach staff and handle interviews and training.
• Review project proposal or plan to fully understand scope, time frame, funding, and resources.
• Proactively build and sustain relationships with clients and subcontractors; communicate with the client at all times.
• Outline work plan, assign duties, hold productive meetings, and resolve problems.
• Oversee contract management from initial conversations to final close-out; serve as the point of contact on contractual matters; review variations.
