Job summary

Michels Pacific Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large complex projects in the Olympia, WA area. You will manage proposals, schedules, budgets, and safety performance while mentoring staff and ensuring client satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience, with expertise in transmission/distribution EPC projects and Primavera/Microsoft Office. Travel and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with transmission and distribution projects.
• Experience with EPC projects.
• Experience with Project Management software (Primavera, Project, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• PMP, PE certifications is desired.
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles with may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all health, safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Directly supervise Associate Project Managers and Project Managers; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• review project proposal or plan to fully understand the scope of the work and contract to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
• Proactively build and sustain relationships with clients and general/sub-contractors, both while on the job and through networking outside of work.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties and responsibilities.
• Responsible for contract management: initial conversations through final project close-out.
