Job summary

AEP is seeking a senior Project Manager for the Indiana Michigan Power Focus: EPC, CCGT projects. You will lead complex programs in a matrix environment, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects with emphasis on safety, cost control, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities include directing project plans, budgets, and teams, applying Waterfall/Agile methods, and ensuring alignment with organizational standards. Travel up to 50% may be required; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with extensive project management experience.
• PMP certification preferred unless waived by leadership.
• Experience in utilities, nuclear, or IT projects is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level proficiency.
• Use Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project management.
• Ensure safety with AEP System Safety Process and Zero Harm
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff.
• Communicate project status and outage details clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead planning meetings and complex stakeholder presentations.
• Build working relationships with teams, customers, vendors, and regulators.
• Provide training to others to improve design, processes, schedules, and costs.
• Represent AEP with customers, vendors, and regulators as needed.
• Travel up to 50% for short durations when required.
