Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Public Buildings Division, is seeking Senior Project Managers to oversee complex capital projects from conception to close-out, coordinate with Sponsor Agencies, prepare cost estimates, schedules, and supervise design and construction staff.

Candidates must meet civil service criteria and be authorized to work in the United States; DDC does not sponsor visas. A degree in engineering/architecture or related field, and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience supervising project management on engineering/architectural/landscape projects or large construction projects worth $1,000,000+.
• A four-year degree in engineering, architecture, construction, urban planning, or related field plus one year PM experience.
• Four-year high school diploma with five years of qualifying experience or combinations to equal five years.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital projects from inception to close-out.
• Review proposed projects to determine sequencing and scheduling.
• Prepare cost estimates and deliverable dates aligned with bid timelines.
