Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Public Buildings Division, seeks an Administrative Construction Project Manager to lead complex capital construction projects from inception to close-out. You will manage CM staff, budget, and schedules to deliver projects on time and within cost.

Reporting to the Deputy/Program Director, you will prepare cost estimates, develop deliverable dates, coordinate with Sponsor Agencies, review change orders, ensure safety, and supervise Project Managers

Qualifications

• Six+ years of construction management on capital projects with $15,000+ value.
• Eighteen months in a managerial or consultative capacity.
• Education or licensure substitutions allowed per NYS rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital projects from planning to close-out.
• Oversee CM staff, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with Sponsor Agencies to define scope and vision.
• Prepare cost estimates and bid deliverables.
• Review change orders and project estimates; ensure safety and on-time delivery.
• Supervise Project Managers and Junior Project Managers.
