Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Borough Based Jails (BBJ) Division, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex capital projects from conception through close-out. You will review project scopes, develop schedules, monitor costs, and coordinate with Sponsor Agencies to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have extensive project management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead construction staff while maintaining thorough project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture/business/public administration with 5 years of full-time experience in planning, administering, or expediting large projects.
• Alternative: high school diploma plus 9 years of relevant admin/managerial experience.
• Master's degree or licensure may substitute for one year of experience, but two years of admin/managerial experience are still required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex capital projects from conception through design development, construction, and close-out.
• Review proposed projects to determine schedules, costs, and prioritization; liaise with sponsor agencies.
• Supervise construction management staff and coordinate with regulatory entities and project stakeholders.
