Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects from planning through bidding and construction across the western U.S. You will oversee schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload while expanding client relationships and driving growth. Mentoring staff and aligning with the firm's strategies are key.

A B.S. in Civil Engineering and Nevada PE are required, with 15+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Nevada or ability to obtain.
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience with development of proposals, scopes, budgets, and project execution.
• Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineers and staff on infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload.
• Expand client relationships and workload with value-driven engineering solutions.
• Mentor staff to foster a high-performing culture focused on quality and growth.
• Develop business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client presentations.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and regional business development.
• Oversee talent development and long-term organizational sustainability.
• Lead refinement and implementation of the firm’s strategy and Denver office operations.
