Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects from planning to construction across the western U.S. You will drive client relationships, mentoring, and strategic growth while ensuring project delivery and profitability.

The role involves guiding the Denver office's operations, partnering with leadership, and expanding regional business development initiatives. A PE license in NV is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Nevada PE licensure (or ability to obtain).
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships and multidisciplinary teams.
• PM experience with proposals, scopes, budgets, and execution.
• Mentorship and performance management capabilities.
• Strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers on infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, technical quality, and workload for operational excellence.
• Expand client relationships and workload with value-driven engineering solutions.
• Mentor staff to build a high-performing team focused on quality and growth.
• Identify new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client presentations.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and regional development.
• Support talent development and long-term organizational sustainability.
• Oversee refinement and execution of the firm’s growth strategy for the Denver office.
