Job summary

Dashiell seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high-voltage engineering projects for industrial or utility settings, driving proposals, budgets, and objectives. You will coordinate with clients and internal teams, manage contracts, and oversee reporting and invoicing through project close-out.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least ten years of supervisory experience, with strong preference for HV project experience and substation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field is required.
• Ten years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is required.
• Experience in managing high voltage projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control and transmission systems is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in cost control or project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.
• Travel to project sites as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the project proposal and bid process in conjunction with the Sales department
• Negotiate, approve and execute prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
• Review, evaluate and implement project specifications, drawing releases and design changes
• Communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders
• Develop, review and approve internal and external project reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports
• Routinely present project updates to senior management
• Lead multi-discipline project team in support of assigned project
• Direct and oversee the subcontract bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for Supplier and Subcontract contracts.
• Develop, implement, execute and oversee Prime Contract and Subcontractor invoicing process
• Direct the securing of applicable project permits
• Other duties as assigned
