Job summary

Dashiell, a division of Quanta Services, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high voltage engineering projects in industrial or utility settings, driving proposal efforts and managing execution from planning through close-out.

You will coordinate with clients and external stakeholders, manage schedules, budgets, permits, and contracts, and lead a multi-discipline team on complex projects nationwide from our Houston area office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field is required.
• Ten years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is required.
• Experience in managing high voltage projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control and transmission systems is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in cost control or project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the project proposal and bid process in conjunction with the Sales department.
• Negotiate, approve and execute prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Review, evaluate and implement project specifications, drawing releases and design changes.
• Communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, review and approve internal and external project reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports.
• Routinely present project updates to senior management.
• Lead multi-discipline project team in support of assigned project.
• Direct and oversee the subcontract bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for Supplier and Subcontract contracts.
• Develop, implement, execute and oversee Prime Contract and Subcontractor invoicing process.
• Direct the securing of applicable project permits.
