Calqulate is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil NCDOT work in the Greensboro, NC area. You will lead roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout, owning budgets, schedules, and cost forecasting.

Relocation to central North Carolina is welcome for the right candidate. Ideal candidates will have NCDOT PM experience, strong cost control and field-team leadership, and a contractor background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• NCDOT project experience as PM required; be ready to name the jobs.
• Projects run end-to-end; not a stepping stone role for an APM or PM Engineer.
• Contractor-side background only; consultants/inspectors not suited.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, change orders and field-team management.
• Vista and HCSS HeavyJob experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as the PM of record, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
