Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead NCDOT heavy civil work in Cary, NC, overseeing road, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires NCDOT PM experience, strong budgeting, scheduling and leadership of field teams.

You will report to senior leadership and own cost, schedule and safety on multiple sites with a backlog of NCDOT work and growth opportunities in the Triangle region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work.
• NCDOT project experience as PM of record is required and must be named.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate to Raleigh area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as Project Manager of record from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and handoff to start the job right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
