Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Project Manager for NCDOT heavy civil work in Greensboro, NC. You will run roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout, owning budgets, schedules, and margins. This role requires NCDOT PM experience and a strong track record managing field teams and vendors.

Relocation to central North Carolina is welcomed, with a backlog of won NCDOT work and direct access to senior leadership. Competitive base plus bonus and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil work.
• NCDOT project experience required; able to name jobs.
• Contractor-side experience; not suitable for consultant/designer background.
• Strong on cost control, schedules, and field-team management.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin for each job.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders; manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost; coordinate with estimating on bids.
