Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects from estimating through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, safety, contracts, and coordination with subs, clients, and field teams.

The role requires a degree in construction management or engineering, 5+ years of PM experience on DOT or infrastructure projects, and strong communication and leadership skills. Regular site presence is expected with some travel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or heavy civil operations.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of construction projects from estimating to closeout.
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate material flow, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Lead project estimating efforts, including scope development and cost analysis.
• Review contracts, plans, and specifications for scope accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide regular project updates, forecasts, and performance insights to leadership and clients.
• Serve as liaison between field operations, subcontractors, and customers.
• Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
