Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil construction to lead the full project lifecycle from estimating to closeout. You will partner with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced field environment. Regular site presence and travel up to 10% may be required, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Valid NC Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project estimating efforts, including scope development and cost analysis.
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate material flow, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Review contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure scope accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide regular project updates to leadership and clients.
