Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil construction to lead the full project lifecycle from estimating through closeout. You will coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities include leading estimating efforts, managing schedules, tracking costs, and providing transparent updates to stakeholders. Occasional travel and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5+ years in construction project management, estimating, or heavy civil operations
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead project estimating efforts, including scope development and cost analysis
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation
• Coordinate material flow, subcontractors, and field operations
• Review contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure scope accuracy and risk mitigation
• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting
• Provide regular project updates to leadership and clients
