Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects in North Carolina. You will oversee the full lifecycle from estimating to closeout, coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a field-driven environment, with occasional travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Requires minimum 5+ years in construction PM, heavy civil experience.
• Experience with NCDOT/municipal or infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project life cycle from estimating to closeout.
• Manage schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate materials, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Lead estimating efforts with scope development and cost analysis.
• Review contracts and plans to ensure scope accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Track costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide updates to leadership and clients on progress and risks.
