Job summary

Kiewit in the United States, South Central District, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects in the field, directing work, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications, and achieving financial outcomes.

You will be in the field 80–90% of the time, organizing work methods, scheduling, cost control, and ensuring workmanship quality while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, and cost control.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn Kiewit's policies and software.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Establish procedures aligned with contract documents and quality plans.
• Represent the project with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate training and compliance measures.
• Manage scope changes, approvals, and budget adjustments.
• Maintain communication with client and adapt deliverables as needed.
• Mentor entry and midlevel engineers.
• Track progress against milestones using engineering fundamentals.
