Zusammenfassung

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support heavy civil infrastructure projects across the South Central District. You will help plan, organize, and implement project engineering and controls tasks for road, bridge, and utility projects, collaborating with site teams and ensuring safety and accuracy in execution.

The role covers field and office engineering, estimation support, and active participation in project risk and cost reviews.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or engineering with 2+ years hands-on construction experience; or 6+ years if no BS.
• Must understand scheduling, CPM, material controls, estimating, subcontracts, change orders, and documentation control.
• Experience in leadership, strong verbal/written communication, and planning.
• Familiarity with paving, grading, cut & fill, excavation, anchor bolts, and concrete forming is ideal.
• Willing to travel to projects and relocate.

Aufgaben

• Field Engineering: interpret drawings/specs for field crews; perform quantity takeoffs; assist in plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying, layout, elevations, control points, and as-built data; prepare labor timesheets and JHA’s.
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and schedule material deliveries; coordinate work groups; supervise field ops.
• Office Engineering: perform material takeoffs; basic engineering calcs and drafting; data for submittals.
• Procure PO’s/subcontracts; assist in purchasing; maintain project records and cost reporting.
• Estimating: review historical data; assist bid prep; complete takeoffs per bid documents.
