Job summary

AEP Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Project Manager Staff to lead complex programs in a matrix environment. You will direct planning, execution and control of projects using Waterfall and Agile methods while ensuring safety and effective stakeholder communications.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field with 10 years of experience (or equivalent) and PMP certification (or waiver).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field with 10 years of experience; OR an Associate’s degree with 12 years of experience; OR HS Diploma with 14 years of experience.
• PMP certification required unless waived by senior leadership.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience in project management, construction, cost estimating, contracts, and project controls.
• Familiarity with safety, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage project activities with expert proficiency.
• Apply Waterfall and Agile project management principles.
• Ensure safety and Zero Harm in the work environment.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, tools, and staff.
• Communicate project status and risk to stakeholders.
