Job summary

AEP Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, OH is seeking an advanced program manager to lead complex, multi-project initiatives within a matrix team. You will plan, direct, and execute programs using Waterfall and Agile methods, ensuring safety, cost control, and timely delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction.

This role emphasizes stakeholder communication, training, and building strong relationships across internal teams, suppliers, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of qualified experience in project management or related field.
• Experience with major construction, project controls, cost estimating, and project reporting.
• Certified PMP preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities.
• Apply Waterfall and Agile methods for project management.
• Ensure safety and Zero Harm as part of the AEP System Safety Process.
• Develop and manage project plan, schedule, budget, tools and staff.
• Communicate status updates and prepare detailed stakeholder presentations.
• Build relationships with internal/external customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Provide guidance and training to improve processes and costs.
• Represent AEP with customers, vendors, regulators as required.
