Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the DC Metro / Northern Virginia region. You will lead high-performance teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to deliver complex projects.

The role requires a decade of construction leadership, a CM/PM/Safety/Communication training background, and the ability to drive safety and performance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
• Five of those years in a Project Manager or leadership role with multiple large projects.
• Completion of classes or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performance project teams through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
• Provide leadership and maintain a positive work environment on site.
• Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors on risk, timetables, costs, and change management.
• Define scope of work, staffing, and work plans for each project phase.
• Prepare bid packages and manage CM bid process and post-bid reviews.
• Oversee safety practices and coordinate with project team on risk mitigation.
• Coordinate planning services (estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting).
• Maintain client relationships from contract through warranty period.
