The Christman Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager for large commercial construction projects in the Chattanooga area. You will lead high-performance teams, coordinate owners, architects, and subs, and ensure scope, schedules, and budgets are met.

Experience leading multiple large projects is required. The role emphasizes strong communication, risk management, and partnering with trade contractors to deliver value, within an employee-owned company culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in CM, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction leadership.
• Classes or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors on risk, timetables, costs, and change management.
• Determine and define scope of work and deliverables.
• Determine staffing requirements and establish work plans and schedules for each phase.
• Prepare bid packages and manage CM bid process and post-bid reviews.
• Serve as a team member on hard bid teams as needed.
• Establish project-specific goals for schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, and data reporting.
• Manage client relationships from contract through warranty period.
• Oversee timely processing of project information, bulletins, field orders, and change orders.
• Establish subcontract agreements and communicate expectations for planning and safety.
