A rapidly growing commercial general contractor that has become one of the most active builders in the Austin market is hiring a Senior Project Manager to help lead its next phase of growth. This is a true leadership-level position for someone who wants more than a title: you will have full ownership of project budgets and schedules, serve as the primary relationship manager for key clients, and lead PMs and APMs through the complete project lifecycle. The company has built an exceptional reputation delivering complex corporate interiors, technology campuses, advanced manufacturing, life-science and infrastructure projects for major national clients. With a strong backlog, an expanding Austin operation and accessible local leadership, this is an excellent opportunity to join a proven organization while there is still room to make a meaningful impact and advance toward Project Executive-level responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of projects from preconstruction and buyout through turnover and closeout
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, change orders, owner billing and overall financial performance
- Develop and maintain master schedules, identify potential delays and drive recovery plans when needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants and trade partners
- Lead OAC meetings and communicate clearly with executive-level stakeholders
- Manage, mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Partner closely with field leadership to coordinate complex MEP, building systems, logistics and commissioning
- Protect client relationships while maintaining the company’s commercial and contractual interests
- Help strengthen internal processes and support the continued growth of the Austin operation
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience
- Previous success as a Senior Project Manager, Project Director, Lead Project Manager or Project Executive
- Demonstrated ownership of both the budget and master schedule on significant commercial projects
- Experience serving as the primary client relationship manager
- Proven experience directly managing PMs or APMs
- Strong financial, contractual, communication and team-development skills
- Experience with complex corporate interiors, technology, advanced manufacturing, life-science, mission‑critical or campus projects is highly valuable
- Established knowledge of the Austin construction market is preferred
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Join one of Austin’s fastest‑growing and most successful commercial construction teams
- Work with recognizable clients on sophisticated, technically challenging projects
- Step into a genuine Senior PM position with financial, operational and client authority
- Lead and develop a project‑management team rather than operating as an individual contributor
- Work in a culture built around trust, autonomy and limited micromanagement
- Gain direct exposure to Austin leadership and a legitimate path toward Project Executive responsibilities
- Join during a period of sustained growth, strong backlog and continued investment in the Austin market
