An established, nationally backed developer and design-build organization is seeking a Project Executive to lead construction delivery and help expand its Austin business.
With ground-up industrial projects scheduled to begin in Q1 2027, this role offers an immediate project pipeline, meaningful decision-making authority, and the opportunity to shape a local construction team. You will own staffing, budgets, subcontractor buyout, and project execution, with support from experienced teams across other offices.
Working directly with development and design leadership, you will influence projects from early feasibility and conceptual budgeting through construction and turnover.
What Makes This Opportunity Compelling

- Secured work: Upcoming projects providing a concrete foundation for growth.
- Influence from the beginning: Help shape design, scope, cost, and execution strategy before construction starts.
- An opportunity to build: Recruit and develop the local team while drawing on established regional resources.
- Long-term leadership potential: Expand your responsibilities as the Austin operation and portfolio grow.
- Compensation aligned with the role: Project Executive salary band, performance-based incentives, vehicle allowance, and benefits.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead projects through feasibility, design coordination, preconstruction, buyout, construction, and closeout.
- Own budgets, forecasting, contingency management, subcontract negotiations, and project profitability.
- Partner with development and design teams to align project scope, investment objectives, cost, and schedule.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead project management and field personnel.
- Establish execution plans and proactively manage procurement, schedule, quality, safety, and financial risk.
- Develop strong subcontractor relationships throughout Austin and Central Texas.
- Remain directly involved in the initial projects while building the team and processes needed for continued growth.
Your Background
- Proven success delivering substantial ground-up commercial construction projects, with industrial, warehouse, distribution, multifamily or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong preconstruction capabilities, including conceptual budgeting, constructability reviews, scope development, and design management.
- Demonstrated responsibility for project financials, contracts, forecasting, and risk management.
- Experience leading project managers and field teams, developing talent, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Austin or Central Texas market knowledge and subcontractor relationships strongly preferred.
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with sound commercial judgment.
- Design-build or integrated developer/builder experience is particularly valuable.
Established Project Executives and accomplished Senior Project Managers already operating at an executive level are encouraged to apply.
