Job summary

Green Key Resources is partnering with a family-owned commercial contractor expanding into Central Texas, seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up, multi-site projects from planning through turnover.

You will work closely with the superintendent and project team, serving as the main point of contact for owners, design teams, and trade partners, across industrial, education, public safety, retail, and hospitality sectors.

Qualifications

• You’ve managed ground-up projects for a commercial GC in the $15M-$30M range and can speak confidently about the financials, schedule, and decisions you owned.
• Experience with schools, municipal facilities, industrial buildings, or other complex commercial work would translate well.
• You’re comfortable working with clients and field teams and want to help grow a Central Texas office.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost reporting, contracts, buyout, change orders, and pay applications.
• Oversee the master schedule, procurement, and coordination with field leadership.
• Maintain owner and architect relationships, addressing issues before they affect the job.
• Deliver projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Job description

We’re working with a family-owned commercial contractor that has spent nearly 50 years building schools, public facilities, industrial developments, hospitality projects, and other complex work across the country. The company is ranked among the nation’s 50 largest contractors, and its Texas team has delivered projects ranging from major school campuses to nearly 3 million square feet of tilt-wall industrial space.

Now it’s expanding into Central Texas with a new office in San Marcos. The office is positioned to serve clients along the Austin–San Antonio corridor, and its leader is putting together the team that will help establish the operation. We’re looking for a Project Manager who wants to run good projects and have a hand in building something locally.

This is a hands-on PM role. You’ll work with the superintendent and project team from planning and buyout through turnover, while serving as a key point of contact for the owner, design team, and trade partners. The company’s work spans industrial, education, public safety, retail, hospitality, and other commercial and public-sector projects, so there’s room to build a varied portfolio.
