Job summary

Haugland Group, a privately owned civil infrastructure and energy construction company based in New York, is seeking an experienced Civil Senior Project Manager to join the project management team. You will oversee daily project activities, supervise subcontractors, and manage budgets and schedules, providing focus on cost control and client communication.

The role demands extensive field experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore, P6, HCSS, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience on heavy civil construction projects.
• Experience with NY and state public agencies is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily efforts of all project activities and personnel.
• Supervise all work activity including subcontractors.
• Ensure quality of work and develop the project team.
• Monitor scope for changes affecting budget/schedule and negotiate change orders.
• Identify impacts to schedule and costs; communicate with client.
• Forecast labor/material costs to complete a project.
• Report profit and loss for assigned projects; support monthly close.
• Review revenue projections and accruals for accuracy.
• Coordinate with owner representatives for a productive environment.
• Plan operations and intermediate schedules to meet deadlines.
• Document changes to project scope and ensure proper communication.

KeyFunctions:

• • Responsibleforoverseeingthedailyeffortsofallprojectactivitiesandpersonnel.

  • Coordinatewiththeprojectteamtodetermineneededresources(manpower,material,equipment,subcontractors,permits,etc.)throughoutthelifeoftheprojectwithattentiontobudgetarylimitations.
  • Planallconstructionoperationsandscheduleintermediatephasestoensuredeadlinesaremet.
  • Understandtheprojectscope,specificationsandidentifychangesastheycome.Communicatetotheprojectteamtomakesureeachchangeisproperlydocumented.

DesiredQualifications:

• • 10+yearsofrelevantexperience,withexperienceworkingonheavycivilconstructionprojects,bridgesaplus.
  • ExperiencewithNYCandStatepublicagenciesaplus.
  • Bachelor'sdegreeincivilengineeringpreferred.
  • ProficientintheuseofProcore,P6,HCSS,andMicrosoftOffice.
