Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide leadership and oversight across our commercial HVAC and plumbing construction operations. You will work closely with project managers, field leadership, preconstruction teams, and executives to deliver projects safely, on time, and profitably.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction leadership roles
• Experience managing large-scale commercial projects
• Mechanical construction experience in HVAC and/or plumbing
• Proven ability to lead and develop project teams
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple commercial mechanical construction projects
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and financial targets
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, costs, profitability, and overall financial performance
• Identify project risks and collaborate with teams on solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors
• Participate in preconstruction planning, pursuits, negotiations, and turnover
• Oversee development and execution of project schedules and plans
• Support contract management, change orders, procurement, and closeout
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and drive growth
• Encourage use of technology, innovation, and best practices
