Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. You will own project performance, timelines, budgets, and procurement while coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring safety and quality.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience in mechanical contracting or ME P projects, with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, mechanical contracting, MEP contracting, or with a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and cost controls.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
• Proven ability to coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and multiple trades.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of project profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project locations as required.

Responsabilités

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate activities across Project Management, field operations, VDC, Engineering, Procurement, and internal teams.
• Own project performance and ensure milestones and contractual requirements are met.
• Identify risks and provide solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasts, cost projections, and cost controls.
• Manage change orders, pricing, documentation, and contract modifications.
• Support procurement planning and major equipment purchases.
• Identify value‑engineering and cost‑saving opportunities.
