Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover. You will own project financial performance, scheduling, procurement, coordination, client relationships, and field execution.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction or mechanical contracting.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ability to read construction drawings, RFIs, submittals and manage changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and milestones.
• Coordinate activities across PM, field ops, VDC, engineering, and procurement.
• Monitor project performance and ensure contractual milestones are met.
• Identify risks early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects moving.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead meetings with owners, GC, architects, and vendors to align on progress.
