As Preconstruction Executive, you will lead strategic pursuit efforts, guide estimating and budgeting, and collaborate with executives, operations, and business development to shape opportunities from early engagement to award.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial mechanical construction with preconstruction leadership.
• Experience leading estimating, preconstruction or project pursuit functions.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for preconstruction across HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction.
• Lead pursuit strategy for negotiated, hard-bid, design-build opportunities.
• Develop estimating, budgeting, pricing, and GMP development strategies.
• Oversee conceptual estimates and cost models, budgets, and GMP development.
• Evaluate opportunities and advise on pursuit strategy, pricing, risk and business fit.
• Monitor market conditions to support informed decisions.
• Collaborate with BD and executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities.
• Represent VMG in client meetings, interviews and negotiations.
• Ensure smooth handoffs from preconstruction to operations.
