Job summary

Mortenson seeks a Project Executive II to lead large projects, drive client relationships, and guide the project team to successful delivery with focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires managing contract administration, budgets, and risk while mentoring staff and ensuring safety and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Travel up to 100% and a strong background in construction management are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 12 years experience in construction management overseeing large projects ($20M+).
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Current driver's license.
• Experience with development to closeout for multiple complex projects.
• Understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and project-related web applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain successful customer/community relationships through visits and surveys, ensuring commitments and resolving issues.
• Preview proposals before submission and participate in the RFP process.
• Support business development by building client relationships.
• Oversee contracts including terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments.
• Set project objectives and procedures, manage budgets and pricing to deliver profit.
• Provide leadership to the project team and review work of Senior PM and PM.
• Mentor and manage team members and foster development.
• Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team.
