Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Executive I to provide overall management for large projects and lead the project team. You will ensure strong customer relations and assist operating groups with winning work.

The role requires interaction across staff levels in a dynamic environment with professionalism and confidentiality. Responsibilities include client visits from pre-construction to close-out, proposal review, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects of all types including industrial and manufacturing.
• Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Strong ties to the Nashville construction market and established relationships within the local construction community.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Nashville labor market, subcontractor network, and industry trends.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with construction professionals, trade organizations, and industry partners throughout the region.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level.
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships
• Conduct key customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out
• Preview proposals and participate in Request for Proposal process
• Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects
• Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships
• Provide oversight and accountability for large projects
• Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices
• Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team

Education
