Job summary
Day & Zimmermann seeks a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering discipline across major projects. You will manage cost, schedule, and quality, ensuring timely delivery of engineering components, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
You will guide engineering teams, coordinate with clients, and enforce governance, scheduling, and documentation standards to meet industry expectations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in project engineering or project management roles.
- ABET-accredited engineering degree required (Bachelor or Master).
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in compliance with state requirements is mandatory.
- Preference for candidates with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project background.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medium to large-scale engineering projects, ensuring specifications, documentation, and permitting compliance.
- Develop and monitor detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones align with contractual obligations and manage liquidated damages impact.
- Coordinate RFIs, DCRs, and FCRs; support field engineering teams to align on-site activities with project needs.
- Lead policy development, regulatory compliance, and risk assessments; contribute to proposals.
