Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Piping Engineering Department Manager to lead a team of piping engineers and designers, guiding strategy, quality, and delivery across EPCm projects in the chemical process industries.

The role requires strong project leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and adherence to codes/regulatory standards, with emphasis on talent development and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required for a leadership role.
• 5+ years of EPCm/chemical process project leadership preferred.
• Experience with design basis, capital cost estimates, scheduling and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership of the piping engineering department.
• Ensure deliverables meet technical standards and client requirements.
• Plan staffing, budgets, and project schedules for multiple projects.
• Develop talent and performance management within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver piping solutions on EPCm projects.
