Day & Zimmermann seeks a Mechanical Engineer 4 in the United States to lead projects from FEED through detailed design and construction support, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, reliable solutions on schedule and within budget.

Requires 12+ years in EPC/EPCm, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, and strong leadership and communication to coordinate vendors, clients and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 12+ years of professional engineering experience required.
• 6-10+ years of EPC/EPCm experience in chemical/process industries required.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers across a portfolio of projects, applying your subject matter expertise to ensure technical excellence and seamless project delivery with minimal oversight.
• Develop and evaluate conceptual mechanical designs, assessing alternatives based on constructability, performance, reliability, maintainability, cost, and environmental compliance.
• Manage mechanical scope changes, ensuring deliverables meet budgetary and scheduling constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering disciplines, construction, site personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients for smooth project execution.
• Establish and approve detailed work plans, resource allocation, and scheduling for your team and projects.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure adherence to standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations; apply your professional license where applicable.
• Champion continuous improvement by integrating best practices and technologies into mechanical engineering processes.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and ensure installations align with design criteria and safety standards.
