Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer II (SPE) to support the structural design process from concept through construction in New York. You will lead portions of design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review deliverables, and mentor junior engineers while interfacing with clients and PMs.

We value technical excellence, teamwork, and clear communication. The role is salaried with a base salary range of $99,400–$114,500, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering with relevant mid/high-rise exposure.
• 5–7 years of structural design and analysis experience.
• PE license preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP and RAM.
• Prepare structural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and agencies to align goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians on technical tasks.
• Support budgeting, scheduling and project planning.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
