Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive plant engineering initiatives across multiple sites. You will own capital projects from concept to completion, supervise cross-functional teams, and report to senior leadership on major initiatives.

The role emphasizes safety, standards, and cost efficiency, with roughly 50% travel and collaboration across locations to deliver high-value improvements and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage projects.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; 2D CAD experience preferred.
• Foundational business acumen and understanding of capex vs. opex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own projects at multiple sites from start to finish with projects periodically exceeding $1MM.
• Present major projects to senior and business group leadership.
• Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel as required.
• Establish guidelines for plant systems to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards.
