Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead plant infrastructure projects across multiple sites, driving safety, efficiency and cost improvements. You will own capital programs, manage vendor relations and present progress to executive leadership.

The role requires a strong engineering background, excellent communication and the ability to travel ~50% to support installations, startups and site reviews. A robust knowledge of capex vs. opex will be essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage projects.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; 2D CAD experience preferred.
• Foundational business acumen and understanding of capex vs. opex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own projects at multiple sites from start to finish; projects frequently exceed $1MM.
• Present major projects to senior leadership and business groups.
• Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel as required.
• Establish guidelines for plant systems to ensure maintenance and safety standards.
• Report and implement corporate best practices across facilities.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities related to utilities and efficiency.
• Evaluate OEM vendors and build strategic relationships.
• Support equipment moves, plant consolidations and expansions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and assist with problem resolution.
