Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support plant engineering projects and corporate programs related to building systems, infrastructure, and operational improvement. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to deliver safe, efficient project solutions.

The position emphasizes leading capital projects, establishing maintenance standards, and driving cost-efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage projects.
• Foundational business acumen and understanding of capex vs. opex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own projects at multiple sites from start to finish, with projects periodically exceeding $1MM.
• Present major projects to senior leadership.
• Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel as required.
• Establish guidelines for plant systems to ensure maintenance and safety standards.
• Identify and drive cost-reduction opportunities related to utilities and efficiency.
