Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive plant engineering projects across multiple sites, focusing on building systems, infrastructure, and operational improvements. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective project solutions.

Responsibilities include leading projects, establishing guidelines, and promoting best practices while coordinating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required; chemical/mechanical preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; 2D CAD experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Foundational business acumen and understanding of capex vs. opex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own projects at multiple sites from start to finish with projects periodically exceeding $1MM.
• Present major projects to senior and business group leadership.
• Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel as required.
• Establish guidelines for plant systems to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards.
• Report and implement corporate best practices across facilities.
• Communicate best practices and lead training for technical teams at the site level.
• Identify and drive cost‑reduction opportunities related to utilities and efficiency improvements.
• Provide infrastructure project priorities across business units.
