Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for an on-site role in Burlington, TX. You will serve as the technical information source for project documents, respond to questions about drawings and change orders, and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The Senior step applies to those with 6+ years of experience or handling larger, more complex projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and related standards.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training with 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to supervise Field Engineer positions.

Responsibilities

• Understand PMP components and change management processes for project execution.
• Develop procurement schedule and integrate with the CPM schedule; coordinate submittals.
• Understand contracts, purchase orders, and budget – manage cost control within approved budget.
• Maintain 'As-built' docs and compile close-out requirements, warranties, and manuals.
• Assist with concrete form design and related takeoffs such as concrete and utilities.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members to ensure execution.
• Prepare quantity reporting mechanisms and meeting minutes; maintain project logs.
• Prepare and review change orders and budget adjustments; distribute documents to teams.
• Prevent and mitigate claims and identify potential issues early.
