Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer in Texas to act as the technical source of information for the project, with thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts and purchase orders. You’ll respond to questions about drawings, shop drawings, and change orders, while maintaining professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

The role supports supervision and training of Field Engineers, with a three-step progression from I to II to Senior,

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage a diverse team.
• Experience supervising and training Field Engineer positions.

Responsibilities

• Understand the project management plan and risk management for successful execution.
• Develop procurement schedule and coordinate with CPM schedule; review submittals.
• Understand prime/subcontracts and control costs within the approved budget.
• Maintain 'As-built' documents and close-out requirements.
• Assist with concrete form design and takeoffs for various materials.
• Plan, acquire and supervise project team members for relentless execution.
• Prepare and maintain quantity reporting and meeting minutes.
• Prepare and review change orders and maintain change order logs.
• Identify and mitigate potential claims and resolve issues promptly.
