Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for on-site management on complex projects. The role focuses on technical information, coordination of drawings, specs, and change orders, with progression through steps I, II, and Senior based on experience.

The position emphasizes collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, plus potential supervision of Field Engineers on larger projects. This is an employee-owned culture with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and standards.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent training plus 3–4 years of similar experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise Field Engineer positions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of PMP components and change management processes.
• Develops a procurement schedule and integrates it with the project CPM schedule; coordinates submittals.
• Administers budgeting and cost control within approved budget; demonstrates business acumen.
• Maintains 'As-built' contract documents; prepares close-out manuals, warranties, and manuals.
• May participate in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities; plans and supervises project team.
• Prepares and reviews change orders and maintains change order log; supports cost adjustments.
• Prevents claims and identifies potential claims; communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
